“Where are you going to school in the United States”(你去美国什么地方上学?)“小Glass Boy”开始了他近乎审讯似的提问。
“I am going to the University of Wisconsin.”(去威斯康星大学。)
“What do you study”(你学习什么?)
“Why do you want to study social work”(你为什么要学习社会工作。)
“Social work is a helping profession. I have always been interested in human studies. I want to better understand people and the society and to make a difference in people,s life.”(社会工作是帮助他人的职业。
“How long is the program”(要念多久?)
“About two years.”(大概两年。)
“What do you plan to do when you graduate”(你毕业后准备做什么?)“小Glass Boy”仍然在重复他机械的提问。
“China has the biggest population in the world and there are a lot of people in need of help. I want to come back to China and work for the social welfare system. This way I can use what I learn in the States to better help those in need.”(中国有世界上最多的人口,非常多的人需要帮助。
“Who supports your study there”(谁资助你的学业?)
“I have a full time assistantship that will cover all my tuition and living expenses.”(我有全额的助教金,可以支付我的学费和生活费。)
